Arab house with Khirbet Qana on horizon

Cana

Village in ancient Galilee identified today with the site of Khirbet Qana nine miles north of Nazareth. Josephus used it as a base while he was fortifying Jotapata [Yodefat] at the beginning of the Jewish revolt. The gospel of John identifies it as the hometown of one of Jesus' disciples [Nathaniel] & the site of Jesus' first "sign."
