   1  Ἔλεγεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὅτι·

Οὐαὶ δὲ ὑμῖν,     52

οὐαὶ ὑμῖν

   
  γραμματεῖς καὶ Φαρισαῖοι*    

τοῖς νομικοῖς,

  οἱ Φαρισαῖοι καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς*
  ὑποκριταί,          
  ὅτι κλείετε     ὅτι ἤρατε   ραν
 

τὴν βασιλείαν τῶν οὐρανῶν

    τὴν κλεῖδα τῆς γνώσεως·   τὰς κλεῖδας τῆς γνώσεως
  ἔμπροσθεν τῶν ἀνθρώπων·          καὶ ἔκρυψαν αὐτάς·
  ὑμεῖς γὰρ οὐκ εἰσέρχεσθε,     αὐτοὶ οὐκ εἰσήλθατε

οὐκ εἰσήλθαν
  οὐδὲ     καὶ   καὶ
  τοὺς εἰσερχομένους     τοὺς εἰσερχομένους   ὅσοι θέλουσιν εἰσελθεῖν*
  ἀφίετε εἰσελθεῖν.*     ἐκωλύσατε.   οὐκ ἀφεῖσαν.

 

**Note: In the gospel of Thomas this saying concludes with the aphorism about serpents & doves which Matthew appends to Jesus' mission instructions to the 12.

To facilitate comparison of texts I have retro-translated the Thomas' saying from Coptic to Greek using Michael Grondin's literal interlinear translation of GThomas
